Why Steel over Alloy?
- Durability: Steel wheels are tough and better withstand impacts from rocks, ruts, and off-road obstacles without cracking.
- Ease of Repair: Unlike alloys, steel wheels can often be hammered back into shape if bent during off-road use. It is also possible to weld steel wheels with ease should a repair require it.
- Cost-Effective: Typically more affordable than alloy alternatives, making replacements less expensive.
- Weight Advantage for Off-Roading: Heavier weight can help maintain traction in challenging off-road conditions like mud and snow.
